Real Winnipeg Wedding by Academy Florists – Sarah and Mike

Sarah and Mike’s wedding was such a pretty day to be a part of! Every last detail was well chosen by Sarah and it was such a pleasure to be her wedding florist. We’re going to start this post differently than usual, with a look at the ceremony flowers. I was looking forward to setting this up for MONTHS. The wedding was held at Fort Gibraltar, and the couple chose to have it indoors in front of the fireplace – and I am so glad they did! The room always looks gorgeous, but we dressed up the statement fireplace mantle with a lush greenery garland with candles and white and pink blooms worked in – hydrangea, garden roses, and peonies.

Sarah selected a beautiful shade of soft green so we definitely wanted to bring that into the bouquets. We used a few different varieties of soft green foliages, and brought in lush white and pale pink blooms: garden roses, ranunculus, stock, and peonies.

For the reception, Sarah wanted to keep the look a bit simpler and cleaner. The centrepieces were very romantic, using lush white hydrangea, garden roses, and spray roses. It all looked so pretty!

We are seriously in love with Kristen Deanne Photography’s photos – aren’t they gorgeous?
